One of the reasons I’m most excited about our move to Florida in the Spring is St. Augustine. Roy and I had both never been to this charming little town and as soon as we started walking around the historic district we immediately fell in love with the pastel walls and brightly painted signs. This town is like cotton candy, y’all. I looove it.
So, now St. Augustine has my heart, and I can’t wait to live in Florida full time so that we can nip down and stroll around. And visit the gator farm again, because YOU GUYS. We did that before we met up with Vanessa + Luis per Roy’s request and let me tell you it did not disappoint at all. That sh*t was AWESOME. We saw everything from albino gators and cool reptiles to a giant pile of lazy gators and even got to feed some of them. The. Coolest. Thing. EVER!
The reason we planned our last visit, other than exploring the areas in Jax that we’ll be living, was to visit my cousin and her husband. They’re expecting their first baby soon and we got to hang out with them on their 2 year anniversary and explore all of their favorite spots from their wedding day for these St. Augustine couples maternity photos. My favorite of our stops was definitely The Hyppo, a gourmet homemade popsicle delicacy with more flavor choices than I own in red lipstick colors (and folks, that’s quite a lot). After we strolled around the historic district we spent some time walking around the Flagler College campus, where Vanessa attended and gawked over the prettiest college architecture I’ve ever seen.
